SAVE A CHILD’S HEART

IPD is pleased and humbled to be a part of the Save A Child’s Heart (SACH) family. SACH, an international non-governmental charity organization recognized by the UN and world-renowned, is dedicated to saving young children in developing countries, regardless of nationality or religion, who suffer from congenital heart diseases and do not have the means or the facilities to undergo cardiac surgery in their countries. Since its inception in 1996 and until April 2020, SACH has operated and cured over 5,500 children from about 60 countries around the world. Save A Child’s Heart Ghana (“SACH Ghana”) was set up and registered in 2008 by IPD as the Ghanaian branch of Save A Child’s Heart with the aim of helping Ghanaian children in need of heart surgery to benefit from the work of SACH. SACH Ghana’s main aim is to raise awareness and the necessary funds to send children from Ghana under the SACH programme to undergo life-saving paediatric cardiac surgery and to handle and manage SACH’s activities in Ghana in close cooperation with local hospitals in Ghana.

We are proud to state that since the inception of the Programme in 2008 in Ghana, several dozens of children from Ghana have already benefited from the Charity and are now living normal lives.
